Acupuncture

Lina is the newest (and only!) Acupuncturist at The Vancouver Naturopathic Clinic. She joins us from Victoria, BC where she has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2023.

Lina completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from McGill University in 2015, and from there went on to explore holistic healing and ancient wisdoms during a period of worldly travels. During this time, she studied at the renowned Sivananda Ashram and completed her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Her passion for yoga, movement, and spirituality prompted her to deepen her knowledge by studying at Pacific Rim College in Victoria. There, she completed her Diploma of Acupuncture in 2022 and became a Registered Acupuncturist with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists in 2023.

Lina’s formal training in Cosmetic Acupuncture and Myofascial Release provides options for patients wanting to explore both aesthetic and functional concerns. Furthermore, she has experience in treating many conditions, ranging from emotional dysregulation, acute and chronic injuries, to sleep and digestive concerns. Additionally, she employs Cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na Massage, and Diet Therapy to tailor treatments to meet your unique needs.

Lina believes that the body speaks magnitudes, telling a story of your physical and emotional well-being. Her mission is to help you tune in to yourself and guide you to respond to your body’s needs. She approaches healing from the inside out, and believes in the intricate connection between body and mind.

To Lina, Acupuncture is a profound method for introducing space and softness into your being when everything else feels like “too much”. When you give yourself the opportunity to pause and breathe, you uncover your inner strength.

** Please note: My gradual return from maternity leave begins June 5th! To start, I will be available for virtual consultations by phone or video with upcoming in person appointment dates TBD. For IV treatments, please contact our admin team to book at vncinfo@shaw.ca

Recognizing that health is not simply the absence of disease, I help patients restore equilibrium to body, mind, and spirit. When these elements are balanced one begins to understand what it truly means to be healthy: to feel whole, to have vitality in one’s life.

Keeping this paradigm in mind, my practice focuses on digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, skin problems, and naturopathic cancer support. I also have a passion for women’s health, acting as an advocate and health ally in the periods of transition unique to menopause & fertility (including pre & post-partum care), and providing natural support for PMS, menstrual issues, endometriosis, and PCOS.

Integrating the wisdom of traditional medicines with current research, I use natural, nutritional, and if necessary, pharmaceutical remedies to tailor treatment to the individual. While naturopathic doctors are trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions, my clinical interest lies in herbal medicine, nutrition, IV treatment, acupuncture, and mind/body therapies. I use these therapies to co-create customized health plans with my patients.
